Our UK Electricity team has been one of the leading brokers in the UK market for eight years. Contracts are based on the Electricity Forwards Agreement (EFA) calendar. In the USA, we have been helping firms trade, hedge and understand the Electricity Derivatives Market since 1997. Environmental Markets

In Europe, ICAP Energy has been at the forefront of providing access to the markets created by the EU Carbon Emissions Allowances (ETU) scheme. Liquefied Natural Gas

The ICAP LNG desk was established in 2012, a year where the LNG swaps market took great steps forward.

Middle Distillates and Fuel Oil

Our Middle Distillates and Fuel Oil team commenced trading in 1996. They arrange swaps and options in a wide range of refined products. These include high and low sulphur fuel, gasoil and heat cracks, jet, diesel and gasoil differentials. These swaps and options enable producers and high volume consumers to hedge their portfolios. Over the last few years the liquidity created in these markets has led to increased participation from speculators. Natural Gas

The European Gas markets are undergoing radical restructuring as extraction from the North Sea declines, dependence on gas from Eastern Europe and LNG sources grows and wholesale markets are opened up. Our European Natural Gas desk entered the market in 2003 and has built a solid base in these rapidly emerging markets. They are a leading broker in the liquid Dutch TTF market and were the first broking team to arrange contracts in the French PEG market. Our UK Natural Gas desk was set up in 1999 and is a leading broker in the liquid NBP market and Zeebrugge.
