Corporate Governance
The corporate governance section of the 2012 Annual report details how the Company has complied with the UK Corporate Governance Code for the year ended 31 March 2012.The board considers that it has complied with the principles and provisions of the UK Corporate Governance Code throughout the year with the single exception of the appointment of a senior independent director for the full period under review. The membership of the board has changed significantly and, until the board had worked together for a period of time, a decision on the appointment of a senior independent director was felt not to be appropriate. Following this assessment period, John Sievwright has now been appointed the senior independent director.
