ICAP in Frankfurt was established by the Bierbaum Group in 1983. In 1995, the company was taken over by Exco plc, which became part of Intercapital plc in 1998.

The principal activities of the Frankfurt office are Money Markets and Fixed Income. The broking of Interbank Deposits is a core activity with ICAP Frankfurt enjoying close relationships with all the leading banks in Germany. Frankfurt works closely with the London office to provide a comprehensive service.

ICAP Frankfurt was one of the first interdealer brokers for Jumbo Pfandbriefe. The team offers execution in spot transactions, switches, spread trades and orders on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
