"I studied geography at University so didn't have a financial services background, however I was lucky enough to spend a couple of weeks on a desk and I loved the atmosphere so applied for ICAP's training programme straightaway. You're given all the tools you need to succeed in this business so following the classroom training and desk rotation I was placed on our oil desk in London. After twelve months I was given the opportunity to move to one of the most vibrant cities in the world. I now run my own desk in New York.
