FAQ's

1. How can I apply?
All applications for the UK, Europe and Asia full-time and internship programmes should be completed online. Simply follow click on the 'Apply Now' section and fill in the details. In the US some schools may run a resume drop or alternatively you can apply online.

We also have guidance in our Advice Centre to help you at every stage of the recruitment process.

Unfortunately, applications via the post or email will not be accepted.

2. I am not a recent graduate/undergraduate. Can I still apply?
Yes. All applications are determined on their individual abilities.

3. Do you require candidates to have some work experience to be considered for a place on the programme?
Although applicable work experience is beneficial, it is not essential. We will ensure that you receive training in all relevant areas.

4. I am on holiday when ICAP are on campus. Will my application still be considered?
Yes. All online applications are considered.

5. What are the basic skills/qualifications that you look for in new applicants?
We are looking for high calibre, entrepreneurial, team-spirited candidates with the drive to succeed in a challenging, pressurised and dynamic environment. You will possess exceptional numeracy, social and interpersonal skills and have a strong interest in financial markets. We welcome any degree discipline with a 2:1 (UK) or 3.0 GPA (US) or above; languages are a definite advantage.

6. Do I need to be able to speak another language?
Although being able to speak another language is beneficial, it is not a required skill to be accepted on to the full-time programme.

7. My degree isn't in Finance. Can I still apply?
Yes. We accept candidates from any degree discipline and encourage applicants from all backgrounds.

8. I don't have a 2:1 (UK) or 3.0 (US), is it possible to be accepted onto the programme?
Our full-time programme has a minimum 2:1/3.0 requirement. However, if you feel you may have mitigating circumstances, you are invited to include this information in your online application.

9. I already work for ICAP. How do I go about applying?
All applications must be completed online and are reviewed in the same way as external candidates.

10. Where will I be based?
All UK full-time hires will be based at ICAP's Head Office in Broadgate Circle, London. All US full-time hires will be based in Jersey City. We are also looking to place people in our Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney offices.

12. I need a visa to work. Will ICAP assist me in doing this?
Yes. ICAP welcomes all international students and should you prove successful at interview stage will assist you in obtaining the appropriate visa.

13. How many full-time and internship candidates do you take on every year?
ICAP endeavours to enroll approximately 75 hires globally every year.

14. I applied last year. Can I apply again?
Yes. You will need to complete a new application but before you do this, we recommend you take some time to think about why you may not have been successful last year.
