HERE'S THE DEAL.
ICAP is the world’s premier interdealer broker and provider of post trade risk and information services, connecting buyers and sellers in the world’s financial markets. Fast-moving. Innovative. Meritocratic. It’s an exciting business, a growing business, a hub of innovation. A place where talent and ambition thrive – and where each day brings another opportunity, another challenge, another chance to prove your potential.
We are a billion dollar company, with approximately 4,900 employees in 32 countries. We provide market-leading voice and electronic broking services to a huge variety of clients, including all the major investment and commercial banks. This means matching buyers and sellers in the wholesale markets for interest rates, credit, commodities, foreign exchange, equities, equity derivatives and shipping, in deals worth in excess of USD 1.4trillion a day. This can be done over the phone and in person by specialist voice brokers, or by clients using our electronic networks directly. We also offer a range of post trade risk and information services, providing data and helping organizations reduce operational and systemic risk in their markets.
Post Trade Risk Services
Traditionally, interdealer brokers like ICAP have focused almost exclusively on facilitating the trade itself – on putting the deal together. However, with the emergence of ever-more uncertain markets, faster moving electronic trading platforms, and a tighter regulatory framework, there is an increasing demand for the kind of expertise that will help our clients monitor, manage and reduce the risks associated with what happens after the contracts are signed. The post trade cycle can be a long and complicated process, encompassing myriad connections, relationships and potential risk points. Our range of specialist post trade risk and information services are designed to help participant organizations manage the challenges inherent in this process, with reduced risk and greater efficiently.
An increasingly important part of our business, the range and quality of our post-trade services are key drivers of our competitive advantage. There are currently no other businesses with the scale, technology or connectivity to match us in our core markets.
